Championing Multiparty Democracy

To serve as the forum for all political parties registered in Zambia to harmonize views and build consensus on issues of national interest.

To develop, maintain and enforce a code of conduct and other ethical standards to govern inter-party relations and ensure internal party democracy, mutual respect and participatory decisions making among member political parties.

To promote good governance, transparency, probity, and accountability within and among member political parties in Zambia and abroad.

To empower political parties to build both institutional and human capacities and to raise funds for their operations.

To carry out research to promote multi-party democracy in Zambia and deepen internal democracy within political parties

To enhance gender equity & effective participation and representation at all levels of internal management of member political parties.

To support and participate in civic education of voters, promote voter registration, and ensure peaceful resolution of conflicts before, during and after elections in accordance with the law.

Participate in regional party programmes to facilitate regional cooperation, integration, and better understanding of the working of continental and regional bodies such as the African Union, NEPAD,
COMESA, and SADC by political parties as grassroot organisations.
